Privacy Policy

AgenticLex is built to collect nothing. There are no accounts, no servers, and no tracking. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version

AgenticLex does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. The developer operates no servers and has no way to see your activity.

Information we collect

None. AgenticLex has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no backend. We never receive a single byte about you.

Data stored on your device

The app saves the following locally, on your device only:

• Learning progress — which terms you have studied, quiz results, streaks, and favorites.
• Preferences — interface language, native language, daily goal, speech and theme settings.
• API keys (optional) — if you choose to use the “AI Boost” feature, the keys you enter are stored in the iOS Keychain, the system’s encrypted credential store.

This data never leaves your device except as described in “Bring Your Own Key” below. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK / “AI Boost”)

AgenticLex is fully functional offline and free. It also offers optional features that use your own API keys from third-party AI providers:

• Cloud voices — OpenAI, ElevenLabs
• Ask Lexi (chat) — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT), Google (Gemini)

If — and only if — you opt in and enter a key:

• The key is stored on your device in the iOS Keychain. AgenticLex never transmits it anywhere except to the provider it belongs to.
• When you use one of these features, the relevant text (for example, the term you want spoken, or your question to Lexi) is sent directly from your device to that provider. It does not pass through any AgenticLex server, because there is no AgenticLex server.
• That request is then governed by the chosen provider’s own privacy policy. Please review it:

You can remove a key at any time in Settings → AI Boost. With no key entered, none of these features send anything anywhere.

Purchases (Tip Jar)

AgenticLex is free forever. The optional Tip Jar uses Apple’s standard In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; AgenticLex receives no payment details and no personal information about you. No feature is ever locked behind a tip.

Children’s privacy

AgenticLex collects no data from anyone, including children. It contains no ads and no behavioral tracking.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
